Resumen
Compilation of the conference papers of 26 experts of rock art that explores an infrequent perspective in the archaeology of rock art: the study of its processes of production and use, tracing back the first archeological theories of art and their development. The contributions approach diverse subjects from the expressions of the rock art of hunting-gathering societies to the post-Hispanic engravings of the Salar de Atacama (salt deposit) in Chile.
