Resumen
Angelina Muñiz-Huberman (Hyères, France, 1936) belongs to «a whole Spanish branch that broke apart during the civil war of 1936». Similar to most members of the Hispanic-Mexican generation, he was educated in Mexico. She holds a PhD in Literature from UNAM, where she has been researching and teaching since 1963. She has received the Magda Donato, Xavier Villaurrutia and Fernando Jeno awards. Storyteller and poet, Angelina Muniz-Huberman conceives of writing as an «absorbing joy of the senses and the soul: of memory and time.» Always playful, both in establishing its own rules of punctuation and in its flexible use of genders, its themes oscillate between women–in extreme situations and not exempt from cruel humor–and cabala. The selection of Narrativa relativa, made by the author, comes from Huerto cerrado, huerto sellado (1985), De magias y prodigios (1987), El libro de Miriam y Primicias (1990) and Serpientes y escaleras (1991). The ensemble allows us to delve into his unique universe, presented in this edition by Pura López Colomé, who states: «His texts have been, are, spiritual manifestations, fruits of the inner life that perpetually flow from the unconscious in a way comparable to the gradual development of creation. This is to speak in a very general way, because the truth is that it has come to unravel literally.» Muñiz-Huberman’s bibliography includes Vilano al viento, poemas de amor y del exilio (1982) and the novels Morada interior (1972) and Tierra adentro (1977).
